Straight out of Karlstad, Sweden, Jacob McCaslin arrived in the US as a child and quickly discovered an inherent passion for music and film. As his parents struggled to find their footing in the US, they constantly found themselves moving state to state, city to city which marked Jacob’s childhood with the challenge of forging friendships, though Jacob did find solace and expression through his loyal companions—ADHD and OCD. Rather than hinder, these elements became the driving force behind his boundless creativity. 

Graduating Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music with a BA in Music Production & Engineering, Jacob's accolades have only multiplied since. His resume boasts collaborations with musical luminaries like Stevie Wonder, Byron Miller, and Bon Iver, where his role as a recording engineer added sonic brilliance to their tracks. Notably, he played a pivotal role in shaping Sasha Alex Sloan's early career, contributing to the songs that led to her first publishing deal with Warner Music.

Beyond the recording booth, Jacob's artistic prowess extends into the realm of visual storytelling. Drawing inspiration from icons like David Fincher and Spike Jonze, he delves into music video direction, crafting narratives that resonate with the soul of each song. His cinematic approach is underscored by an obsessive attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to artistic integrity.
